This combined listing covers two complementary seismic sway brace components from the UTT pipe support system: UTT071 Structural Attachment and UTT11 Sway Brace Bar Joist Adapter. Both are designed for bracing pipe against sway and seismic disturbance, and both serve as the pipe attachment component of a sway brace system that, when joined with a UTT structural attachment fitting and a bracing pipe element, forms a complete sway brace assembly.
The two models divide the anchoring work by structure type. UTT071 is installed where the brace must be anchored to the building structure through a base connection with an M12 anchor bolt (50–65 N·M), using Sch 40 1-inch pipe as the base-part accessory. UTT11 grips steel structure directly — bar joist, roof deck framing and H-steel up to 16 mm thickness — and uses the UTT071connecting accessory, with shear bolts tightened until the heads break off after gripping the steel.
Sway brace assemblies of both models are intended to be installed in accordance with NFPA 13 and the manufacturer's installation instructions, and the system is designed for building seismic support projects under GB 50981 (Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Systems). Both models are cast in QT450 ductile iron with a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance in indoor fire protection and MEP piping service, and both accept standard sprinkler pipe (Sch 10, Sch 40, GB/T 3091, JIS G3454) as the brace member
Two attachment types, one system — UTT071 handles concrete/structural base anchoring, UTT11 handles steel bar joist and H-steel (max. 16 mm); a single order covers every bracing condition in the same building
High certified load capacity — UL maximum design load 1,885 lbs (8.38 kN) for UTT071 and 1,890 lbs for UTT11 with a 1" Sch 40 brace pipe; UTT11 additionally carries FM horizontal load ratings up to 1,660 lbs (7.38 kN)
FM approval for insurer-driven projects — UTT11 FM ratings: 970 lbs (4.31 kN) at 30°–44° and 1,660 lbs (7.38 kN) at 45°–59° installation angle, meeting FM Global requirements commonly specified by international contractors
Visual, foolproof installation — shear bolt connections on both models: tighten until the head breaks off, giving inspectors an instant verified installation indication; anchor bolt torque 50–65 N·M
One size fits braced pipe up to 8" with a 1/2" bolt hole for the structure
Ductile iron QT450 + galvanized finish — robust casting with corrosion protection for long service life in sprinkler and MEP networks
